for some reason my q3a doesnt wanna open i tried everythin i open it through xfire and the blue window comes up and thats it it goes away and nothin else no quake but it says im playing on xfire. i looked in task manager and its not even there and i try to open it just through quake not xfire and it does the same thing so if i cant fix it i cant play but idk how to fix it

most of the times, its solved by just creating a new quake 3 and baseq3 folder. Keep ur pak0.pk3 and put into a new baseq3 folder; download the 1.16n update thing online and it will install the other files that remain. Oh and keep ur config, maps, and Noghost File so you can just transfer it to ur baseq3 folder.

you can also take a look at the logs of quake's console - they should be stored in a .txt file.
